Today my college Dr. Niklas Nilsson spoke on Hybrid Warfare in Ukraine and Georgia at the Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciences [Kungl Krigsvetenskapsakademin (KKrVA)].

About

Dr. Mikael Weissmann is Associate Professor in War Studies and Head of Research- and Deputy Head of the Land Operations Section at the Swedish Defence University. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. He is a member of CSCAP-EU.

His research focus on East Asia with focus on the role of China and war studies. He is an expert on in particular:
– Power Shift in East Asia
– the Belt & Road initiative
– the South China Sea
– North Korea
– Sino-Russian relations
– Cross-strait relations.

His research on war studies focus on land operations, with particular emphasis on
– hybrid warfare and threats
– military tactical thinking
– land tactics
– strategic communication at the tactical level.
